Besides acting, she is anchoring the 'Derana Tea Party - රස බර කතාබහ 'quite well. Her popularity multiplied with her character in ‘Muthu Kirilli - මුතු කිරිල්ලී’ which is still being telecast on ITN. Besides the various music videos she is part of, Nehara is one of the much sought of the new stars in the tele field.
She was studied at St. Lawrence's School and ACBT. Nehara who was adjudged the Most Popular Actress award at the Raigam Tele Awards 2008. Nehar's first tele drama is 'Senehasata Adarei සෙනෙහසට ආදරෙයි" directed by Nalan Mendis. Then she got a chance to act a mini role in the teledrama 'Jeevithe Lassanai ජීවිතේ ලස්සනයි' directed by Ravindra Wijeratne.
